Rex has the opportunity to teach and consult on many ecology issues related to the 25,000 acre resource he manages. BILL WILSON
Bill is a teacher, communitarian and permaculturists, holding three Permaculture Design Certifications.
He and his wife/partner, Rebecca, are co-founders of Midwest Permaculture providing on-going permaculture education. New this year is a 4-day Suburban/Urban Permaculture Training Intensive, the first of which is being hosted at Purdue University. As a 31-year resident of the sustainability oriented community of Stelle, IL, Bill and Becky were involved in the plantings surrounding what was once, a very plain and open Stelle pond (see photos below). The two of them are also creating a permaculture oasis surrounding their traditional suburban home
which will be available for free touring following
the field day, from 3:30 – 4:30.
.
BILL LAND
Bill is the Director of Land Education for the Center for Sustainable Community. His interest in aquatic habitats is in part personal since he has lived for over a decade adjacent to lakes in Indiana. As a Professor of Geography he has taught Environmental Conservation many times at the University level. Each class Bill taught included permaculture instruction related to habitat, aquatic and land enhancement.
