Mark Hoffman on Beekeeping – 2004 Course

 

The price of the course is $1,277.

Includes:

  • a copy of Bill Mollison’s book Introduction to Permaculture (course text book)
  • all meals during your stay (mostly organic)
  • camping space.

 

- Logistics -

Webinar Classes
There will be six, 2 hour webinar classes during the 3 weeks prior to the course.

  • Some reading and homework will be involved.
  • They are scheduled on the three Sundays and Wednesdays before your course begins.  The webinar classes start at 6:30 p.m. central time.  Here are the dates: Oct 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, and 18.
  • All classes will be recorded for those who happen to miss a class.

Curriculum
Wayne has an excellent outline of the curriculum we will be covering on his website. Please note however, Wayne's site will be referring to his standard 12 day course (which is a good option for students to consider as well). Our course is 7 days and includes the webinar pre-classes.

Arrival
Students are welcome to arrive in Stelle anytime late afternoon on Friday October 20th or early Saturday morning the 21st to set up their tents, relax and get acquainted with other students. The first class begins immediately following lunch at 1:00 on Saturday when you will begin your immersion into the sustainable world of permaculture. Your training & certification will conclude with Lunch on Saturday, October 28.

Camping Area in Stelle

Camping & Available Lodging
It can get cool in late October so there will be some indoor lodging available in various Stelle resident’s homes for an additional cost of between $150 and $250 for the week. First registrants have first choice for these varied accommodations.
