Calling all true garlic lovers and we mean garlic lovers!!!!
  • Are your co-workers ready with the breath mints when you return from lunch?
  • Are you willing to tear up a portion of your backyard so you can enjoy the taste of fresh garlic?
  • Has your Uncle the Count recently returned from Transylvania?
  • Would you like to learn how to get more garlic in your diet?
Garlic Braiding

If you answered yes to any of the above, this entire afternoon devoted to garlic is for you. This is not for the faint of taste buds.

Guia Hoffman, chef of the Greenhouse Bed and Breakfast and Julie Larsen, former chef of New Day Café will be your guides through this garlic odyssey.

  • Learn how to grow and harvest garlic even in a very small garden.
  • Learn to braid multiple heads of garlic for storage and display.
  • An entire menu will be prepared using garlic in every course, from soup to dessert.
  • Taste several varieties of garlic (there are hundreds) and see if you can tell the subtle differences between them.

Each attendee will receive their very own bulb of Transylvanian garlic!
Yes - there really is a Transylvanian garlic.

Garlic is one of the easiest vegetables to grow in our climate. Come learn how.

If you are planning to attend, please register online, send us an email, or
call Julie at 708-828-4325.
